ABOUT

I'm a former Pittsburgher who has been living in Washington, DC since 2017. I'm looking to bring my diverse multimedia design, video and content management into a team setting. I love collaborating to tell compelling stories and to solve problems.

I am also a licensed massage therapist in the District of Columbia. I'm a bicycle commuter, tourer, and advocate. I'm a city-lover, theatre-geek, rpg game enthusiast, singer, baker and occasional reader.

Freelance Designer

  • Edited thirteen (13) SSPC 2018 Conference videos on behalf of Technology Publishing Company.
  • Created color-coded vector map of Pennsylvania for the Commonwealth Prevention Alliance.
  • Concepted and designed a logo identity for a local bicentennial farm in 3 major iterations.
  • Designed a number of versions of a logo for a neighborhood bicycle and pedestrian advocacy group in Pittsburgh. Distilled input from the group by email to create consensus on a final logo.

  • Contributed functional front end development for new websites as part of team setting, including HTML/ColdFusion coding and some SQL database work. Provided sales fulfillment support as needed.
  • Transformed magazines into web-based and flipbook formats; with CMS, coding and image resizing.
  • Satisfied clients with excellent design and functional execution of email marketing campaigns.
  • Spearheaded video initiatives for the company.

  • Curated online ad and email marketing campaigns for clients.
  • Created in-house email and print marketing materials for sales as needed.
  • Developed new front-end web designs, image content and occasional animated pieces.

Communications/Marketing Coordinator Venture Outdoors (and PULSE)

  • Saved $1,000 per issue by moving the tri-annual newsprint publication of the public program schedule to a digital printing process. Helped generate ad revenue (about $5,000 total per issue).
  • Grew and developed digital and print communications pieces, including a biweekly e-newsletter, a WordPress blog, website content, collateral for special events. Managed Public relations in my first year.
  • Supervised interns in creation of the weekly staff-to-board internal newsletter and marketing content.
